Global leader in 3D denture design and production DENTCA is hosting a seminar on the next generation of CAD/CAM dental technology this month.
The event will take place at the Anaheim Hilton in Catalina, California, on April 12th at 18:30 local time, during the California Dental Association Annual Conference.
The session is called Shaping the Future of Dentures with 3D CAD/CAM Technology and will be presented by Dr Tae Kim, Director of the Removable Prothodontics Department at the Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California.
Dentists and prothodontists have been using 3D modelling and printing facilities since their inception and as time has gone by, demand for the most accurate and efficient techniques has increased.
To address this need, DENTCA's CAD/CAM system was developed with more than six years of research and development and introduced to the marketplace early in 2012.
Since then, the entire field of denture-based dentistry has started shifting towards digital production, with early adopters leading the way.
To help doctors and practitioners understand the benefits and realise the new capabilities CAD/CAM procedures provide for both doctor and patient, DENTCA is sponsoring this updated lecture and hands-on seminar for doctors and denturists to be held at the Anaheim Hilton on April 12th.
Chief Executive Officer of DENTCA Sun Kwon stated: "As the pioneer and leader in CAD/CAM denture production, DENTCA is hosting this seminar to help dentists discover how to take advantage of digitised denture modeling and design services - which significantly reduces chairtime and eliminates human error from the entire denture delivery process."
Doctors who attend the session will be presented with a two-hour course covering the theory behind conventional and digitally-enhanced denture procedures, as well as participating in a one-hour hands-on training session.
Upon completion of the course, attendees will receive a certificate of completion and three CE Credits approved by the Academy of General Dentistry, PACE. Course fees can also be credited to the first denture order for all attendees.
