Faro Technologies has followed up the release of its Quantum-s FaroArm earlier this month with another metrology scanning solution, the Quantum-m FaroArm.
Rounding off Faro’s Quantum FaroArm portfolio of inspection solutions, the Quantum-m offers a mid-market alternative to the Quantum-s. Boasting the same high-performance functionality as the Quantum-s, Faro’s latest product caters for applications which don’t require the same high-level specifications.
Faro prides itself as a trusted source of 3D measurement solutions and believes its Quantum family of scanning devices continues that service. The Quantum FaroArm-m is available for immediate quoting, and Chief Commercial Officer, Joseph Arezone, is confident that the portfolio ensures Faro is the leader of the quality inspection market.
“Faro is committed to leading the industry into the next generation as the quality and performance beacon,” Arezone said. “As such, we are directing our efforts to assuring that we deliver products that adhere to the most rigorous global quality standards. As standard, practice, Arm users going forward should be willing to accept only those products that are subjected to the broadest, most objective and the most challenging quality standards available.”
The Quantum-m, just as the Quantum-s is, is certified to ISO 10360-12: 2016, the most rigorous international measurement quality standard available. It is also tested to the International Electrical Commission (IEC 60068-2) standards for shock, vibration and temperature stress relief.
At 20% lighter than some of Faro’s previous 3D measurement solutions, the Quantum-m is markedly easier to manoeuvre and operate. Taking no time to warm up before it is ready to use, it is also said to be more productive in the inspection, design and manufacturing process, since users can work for longer with more comfort. Its FAROBlue Laser Line Probe HD technology ensures scans can be completed five times faster than previous generations. This includes scans on complex surfaces, which may be dark or reflective. Additionally, continuous operation across the factory floor is enabled thanks to the device’s wireless connectivity and dual, hot swappable batteries.
FaroTechnologies will be at TCT Show next month to present 'many' of its 3D measurement technologies from Stand G18.
