FELIXprinters has announced it is to move further towards the professional 3D printing space to reflect the changing landscape of the market.
The Dutch company has made its name in the development and delivery of material extrusion desktop 3D printing machines and ancillary products, like maintenance kits and adhesives. Though some of its 3D printing systems, such as the FELIX Pro series, have been designed for professional use, much of its hardware has been applied by makers, educators and students.
Those fields remain important to FELIXprinters, the company recognising the increasing adoption across STEAM subject areas to educate young students and help fight the skills gap. But with an increased usage across a number of industry sectors too, FELIXprinters is now looking to build on its Pro series and better serve professional users.
“This is a deliberate strategy founded on the belief that our customers, whatever their size and shape, get the best from their use of our 3D printing technologies when we work with them directly and become a strategic partner and advisor for them,” commented Guillaume Feliksdal, founder and Director, FELIXprinters. “We work closely with all our industrial customers to ensure that the use of the technology is optimised for each individual application.”
The Pro series is made up of the Pro 2 and Pro 2 Touch, and is designed to help customers shorten time to market by streamlining prototyping and low-volume production processes. They boast 237 x 244 x 235 mm build volumes, interchangeable hot ends, accurate sensors, and low-level noise production. The Pro 2 Touch, however, comes with a responsive full colour touch screen to enhance the user experience. With this shift of focus now made public, customers can expect more products to be added to the Pro series in the not too distant future.
