Michael Sorkin joins Formlabs.
Formlabs, creators of the Form 1+ SLA 3D printer, today announced that Michael Sorkin, co-founder of iGo3D, will be joining the company’s leadership team to focus on the company’s expansion in Europe.
Sorkin joins Formlabs from iGo3D, one of Europe’s leading 3D-printing distribution companies which he co-founded in 2013. The move signals Formlabs’ ongoing commitment to growing and serving its European presence.
“Europe is an extremely important territory for us, and we’re excited to have Michael Sorkin join our team,” said Maxim Lobovsky, Co-Founder of Formlabs. “Michael built iGo3D, one of the most important distribution channels for desktop 3D printing in Europe, he will use this experience do the same leading our efforts in Europe where we have experienced substantial growth in the past year”
During his time at iGo3D, Sorkin grew the company to a team of 50, expanding beyond Germany to serve the Netherlands, Poland and Russia. Sorkin also sits on the advisory board member of The 3D Printing Association, the leading global association for the 3D printing industry.

Sorkin’s addition marks a milestone in Formlabs’ rapid growth, as it continues to expand global operations for its award winning Form 1 and Form 1+ 3D printers.
