Boston Micro Fabrication has announced that John Kawola will transition out of his position as CEO and into a strategic advisor role, effective July 1, 2026.
It comes as the company implements several management changes and looks ahead to its next phase of growth.
Other changes will see Bryan Ferrand assume the role of President and Donna Kelly being promoted to the Chief Operating Officer position. Kawola, in his new role, will continue to support the leadership team and the company's long-term direction.
“BMF is a remarkable company with exceptional technology, a strong team, and a bright future,” said Kawola. “I have tremendous confidence in Bryan, Donna, and the broader leadership team as they guide the company forward. I will plan to remain a long-term adviser to the leadership team and a strong believer in BMF and its continued success.”
“John has been a tremendous partner to me and has helped us build BMF from the ground up,” added Dr. Xioaning He, Chairman of BMF. “He has also built a strong team that is able to step up and bring BMF to the next level.”
According to BMF, these leadership appointments reflect the company’s commitment to 'operational excellence, customer success, and continued innovation.' The company is said to be seeing growing demand for its micro-precision 3D printing offering across several sectors, including medical devices, electronics, biotechnology, and other high-value manufacturing applications.
