Prodways L5000D
The L5000 machine was among seven sales Prodways has made in recent weeks.
Prodways has announced the sale of seven 3D printing systems to three separate customers.
The three deals all involve unnamed companies and institutions, but as a collective, Prodways says the sales will generate around €300,000 per year in recurring income through the use of machines and order of materials.
A dental client has become the first company to purchase the ProMaker LD-20, which was debuted at the recent Formnext event, and has also invested in another ProMaker LD-10 system. The customer is said to be gearing up for volume production with the Prodways machines, the newest of which, the LD-20, is equipped with double moving DLP projectors and can print up to 48 dental arches within an hour.
Meanwhile, Prodways has also secured the sale of two MovingLight V10 ceramic systems, which were launched at the International Additive material Exhibition in China back in August. These machines will be used by a Chinese organisation for R&D purposes. This deal takes the total sales of the MovingLight V10 up to four.
Finally, in one of its largest orders recorded to date, Prodways has sold three ProMaker L5000 machines to an aeronautics customers, who already boasts two Prodways systems. The L5000 is a system design to produce smaller parts in large quantities and is powered by MovingLight technology. It has a build volume of 400 x 330 x 400 mm and achieves a resolution of 42 µm.
All of the systems sold harness Prodways’ patented MovingLight technology, a DLP process which cures photosensitive resin to build parts layer by layer. It is the company’s flagship technology, and one that Prodways believes can enable its customers to achieve volume production.
“MovingLight is combining speed and quality and resolution,” Thomas Claustre, Sales Director, Prodways Group, commented at TCT Show in September. We are using DLP but very small and concentrated DLP. [The projector] is the size of a business card and we flash this size and move on the surface. Our core product is MovingLight, but our core DNA is productivity.”
