US-based 3D technology manufacturer, Robo has featured two new app-powered 3D printers at the CES 2017 3D Printing Marketplace sponsored by TCT.
Maker of some of the most highly-rated consumer 3D printers on the market, Robo used the Las Vegas electronics event to launch its Robo C2 Compact Smart 3D Printer and Robo R2 High-Performance Smart 3D Printer. Both machines are Wi-Fi compatible and run using the new Robo mobile and tablet application.
The company was recently named CES 2017 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree for the Robo R2 machine, which is expected to begin shipping next month. Exhibiting alongside the $1,299.99 Robo R2, the Robo C2 is available now. It was first announced in September 2016 via a Kickstarter campaign and retails at $699.
Offering cutting-edge features, Robo’s new printers epitomise the company’s efforts to offer the highest quality technologies at consumer-level price points. Having been completely redesigned and reimagined to exceed consumer expectations, both printers offer a wish-list set of innovative features can be used by people of any skill level. These features are said to allow freedom for the designer to create 3D prints for a wide range of personal and professional projects from their mobile device.

With the new Robo app, consumers can now enjoy seamless interaction with both R2 and C2 printers a faster process to each 3D print, without sacrificing precision. The app gives the user the ability to connect and print from their mobile device, monitor the progress of every print in rea time, manage multiple prints and printers at once, connect to cloud libraries and access thousands of 3D models. Users can also make in-app purchases of filaments and accessories, and receive 24/7 support and helpful tutorials. The Robo app is available now on iTunes, and will be coming to Android soon.
