Rősler UK, a surface finishing supplier, is welcoming guests to a couple of open days where the company will be showcasing its surface finishing and preparation equipment.
The informal events will be held on September 19th and 20th, and will see Rősler UK technical experts explain and demonstrate how mass finishing and shot blasting technology can be harnessed to improve manufacturing industry. Many of the other technologies being used in modern manufacturing processes, for example 3D printing, can require some substantial post processing.
Most of Rősler’s products can be used to surface finish 3D printed parts, the company says. Notably, its High Energy Centrifugal Disc Finishing Machine FKS04, which will be on display at the open days, was used in the post-processing phase of Renishaw’s patient-specific cranial plates, which were printed on the AM250 machine.
Also on display will be a number of products able to be used on plastic and ceramic parts. Rősler engineers will advise on which surface finishing device to use for certain parts and certain applications. Some of Rősler’s blasting solutions can ensure a 77% increase in efficiency, optimising operation-cycles, and producing greater aesthetics on end-use parts. Other Rősler equipment can provide reductions in the consumption of water used within grinding and cutting processes, and some can separate water, oil and particulates in one singles treatment with applications for treating machine coolant, cutting fluids, glass, and ceramics.
Rősler UK is now accepting bookings for the informal open days. It hopes to meet industry players looking to advance their surface finishing processes. Having examined many existing blasting process, the company believes it is best placed to advise on how new technology can provide competitive advantages.
