Spatial Corp ModuleWorks Dassault Systemes SDK
Spatial Corp, a provider of 3D software development kits (SDKs), has extended its partnership with ModuleWorks to develop software components to complete workflow solutions.
The partners are targeting CAD/ CAM vendors who combine both additive and hybrid machining with their software platforms which ‘take 3D modelling collaboration to a new level.’ They have enjoyed a successful relationship for several years and between them share a large customer base who benefit from the synergy between their software tools. The customers are set to benefit once more from the latest SDKs brought to market.
CGM Polyhedra, Spatial Corp’s powerful SDK, is to be supported by the launch of the new high-performance additive components from ModuleWorks as the partnership between the two is extended into additive and hybrid machining. Just as their collaboration always has, the companies say their continued cooperation will ensure fast and flexible integration of their respective libraries into CAD/ CAM applications, and make easier the development of cost-effective workflows.
The CGM Polyhedra tool is said to deliver an accurate, ‘watertight’ mesh, which can be passed to the high-performance ModuleWorks additive and hybrid manufacturing components, along with high-precision CAD data. ModuleWorks’ additive software components offer toolpath calculation and simulation, advanced nozzle and material definition, multiple STL capabilities, and automatic nesting.
Combined, Spatial and ModuleWorks believe their software components can deliver better applications the customers of their customers, who enjoy a more efficient process.
