Foster + Partners is an internationally acclaimed architectural practice whose work embraces everything from city masterplanning to product design. Due to our continuous expansion, we have a number of opportunities for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join our Modelshop.
Modelmaker (Ref: LMM0313)
The post holder will be responsible for producing high quality models, prototypes and mock-ups, as well as being involved in the preparation of exhibitions and presentation material.
The successful candidate will be qualified to minimum HND level, preferably degree level, in a relevant subject, will be able to demonstrate the ability to run small to medium-sized projects and work independently to achieve deadlines and meet quality expectations. They will be expected to have a good knowledge of and be able to operate the most advanced technologies available, alongside using traditional modelmaking techniques.
Successful applicants will be involved in constructing models of some of the most exciting buildings being designed in the world today and must therefore have a high level of skill and craftsmanship. Applicants must also have a good working knowledge of workshop machinery, CAD, laser cutting and CNC operation, as well as proficiency in all relevant tools and power equipment.
