trinckle EIT Challenge
trinckle is recognised at the EIT Challenge award ceremony.
Berlin-based 3D printing software company, trinckle has won in the Digital Industry category European start-up competition EIT Digital Challenge and been awarded €50,000 in prize money.
EIT Digital is an organisation dedicated to encouraging open innovation and entrepreneurial education. Each year it assesses Europe’s best start-ups, and recognises the one it deems to have the greatest scaling potential. The jury cited trinckle’s ‘concept for providing software applications to enable other companies to establish innovative business models in the dynamic growth market of 3D printing.’
trinckle has brought to market the paramate platform which enables users to customise products, automating the design process, reducing down time and even cutting costs. It can be harnessed for use in a variety of vertical markets, but perhaps most notably has been adopted by Kuhn Stoff GmbH to enhance the design of complex robotic grippers. Speaking to TCT earlier this year, CEO, Florian Reichle had stressed interest in the product had grown to such an extent he no longer has to pitch paramate to customers, instead they pitch applications to him.
It seems the interest hasn’t dampened, and trinckle has thus been recognised. Separate from the EIT Digital Challenge win, trinckle benefits from participating in the EIT Digital Accelerator program worth an additional €50,000. But to be singled out as the company with the greatest scalability within the Digital Industry category of the EIT Digital Challenge has delighted Florian and his team, who are preparing for a busy 2018.
“The support of EIT Digital comes at exactly the right time for us,” said Reichle. “In the 3D printing industry, a breakthrough for various commercial applications can be expected. We have prepared ourselves for this and the EIT Digital Accelerator is the perfect partner for our international scaling.
“We have quite some plans for next year. We want to strengthen our position as the primary partner for design automation and product configuration. And not only in Germany, but throughout Europe and the USA. With the pan-European network of EIT Digital, we are well positioned for this.”
