Zortrax, a European 3D printing company, has this week made the biggest announcements of its short history.
At the Zortrax Experience Conference in Olsztyn, Poland, the company presented an array of new products, including the Zortrax Inventure 3D printer and DSS station, Z-PLA Pro and Z-ASA Pro materials, and Z-Suite version 2.0 software.
Over 100 of business partners who sell Zortrax’s products in over 80 countries worldwide joined the company’s representatives and special guests in attending the Zortrax Experience Conference.
“We used Zortrax Experience to present new products for all elements of our ecosystem,” said Zortrax S.A. CEO Rafał Tomasiak. “The star is the Zortrax Inventure 3D printer. The new version of the original Z-SUITE software offers numerous useful functions, which will improve the day-to-day operations of our clients even more. We are very glad to have been able to present everything live, right here in Olsztyn, where it all began.”
Zortrax’s breakthrough 3D printer, the Inventure, will be commercially release on June 20th. A unique solution, according to Zortrax, the printer boasts a closed chamber with HEPA filter, the function for simultaneous printing of two materials (base and support), precise printing and stylish design. A dedicated DS station, which allows for quick and easy dissolution of the support material in heated water, is set to follow. Upon its release, the Inventure will be accompanied by the Z-PLA, Z-PETG and Z-SUPPORT materials with more to follow at a later date.
The Z-PLA material, also compatible with Zortrax’s M200 and M300 printers, is able to provide increase detail and has a matte surface. Zortrax say the Z-PLA is perfect for producing architectural models, industrial designing and modelling, and any other application that requires intricate detailing.
Meanwhile, the Z-ASA Pro is a material resistant to external factors, such as UV rays. Effective even in severe weather conditions and offering reduced shrinkage, it is suitable for the construction of larger models at ABS-level resistance.
Zortrax’s Z-Suite 2.0 will be available in beta version from July 18th. Until the release of the full version, Z-Suite 1.11 will remain available to support the Inventure and the new materials. Z-Suite 2.0 will be subject to a range of developments, including the option to work in multiple tabs, similar to an internet browser; editable support; analysis algorithm; and grid repairs, which will enable the user to establish errors in a model and have the software automatically repair them.
