Industrial AM quality specialist amsight and precision manufacturing company toolcraft are working to implement an automated, transparent, and scalable approach to additive manufacturing quality management.
As they develop this technology, the two companies are placing a particular focus on semiconductor-related production.
Through the collaboration, toolcraft is deploying amsight’s digital quality backbone to connect and evaluate production data across its AM workflows in a bid to reduce the manual effort associated with reporting and analysis. amsight has been specifically designed for industrial AM environments and is said to enable manufacturers to connect machine data, process information, inspection results, and quality metrics into a single, traceable framework.
With process and quality data consolidated into a single environment, the partners will hope to shorten the time from build completion to decision-making and provide clearer visibility into production behaviour. They also hope to build a stronger foundation for statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven decision-making, while stabilising production and ensuring more consistency in the additive manufacture of production applications.
Christoph Hauck, Executive Board Member for Technology and Sales at toolcraft said, “Semiconductor-related manufacturing environments demand extremely high levels of consistency, documentation, and process understanding. We see amsight as a partner that understands the realities of industrial AM production and the importance of connecting quality data in a meaningful and scalable way.”
“As AM scales into highly regulated and precision-critical sectors, quality management can no longer remain fragmented across spreadsheets and disconnected systems,” added Tim Wischeropp, CEO at amsight. “This collaboration with toolcraft demonstrates how manufacturers are moving toward integrated, data-driven quality strategies that support both operational efficiency and long-term scalability. It also shows toolcraft’s commitment to strengthen its leading position as a reliable contract manufacturer for regulated industries”
