Champions League trophy
Download from YouMagine
In preparation for both Madrid sides hopping the border into Portugal and going head-to-head in the final of Europe’s premier football/soccer competition, how about printing your own version of the Champions League trophy?
Perhaps you’re going to play a Champions League drinking game (non-alcoholic versions are available), this would make an ideal little prize for the overall winner. Maybe you could remix this to include the winner’s initials like we have using Tinkercad.
The file has been produced by Dutch 3D printing, football mad maestros Ultimaker and shared on their 3D models repository YouMagine. All models on the YouMagine site come with an attribution tent card pdf complete with QR code should you wish to display the model and attribute the creator. The zip file also contains the Creative Commons license and information about the file.
YouMagine remains a little on Ultimaker’s back burner but when Personalize paid a visit to the HQ in the Netherlands last month, plans were certainly afoot to expand the Thingiverse alternative.
When Stratasys took over MakerBot it became clear that an alternative is wanted, and the transparent and thorough nature of YouMagine may well be the alternative those protestors are looking for.
