Liechtenstein-based Coobx, showcased its LIFT (Light Inserted Fabrication Technology) EXIGO machines for the first time at TCT Show. The technology forms part of the its LIFTcell production lines, a fully automatic pick and place system which organises the continuous production of up to 60 build platforms.
Designed for fully automated production in industries such as automotive and medical, the light-based system uses a fully-enclosed “top-down” process which can build parts in multiple materials and is complemented by Staubli robotics and the EXIGO Clean&Cure unit for post-processing.
TCT spoke to Marco Schmid, CEO of Coobx at the TCT Show during the world premiere of the technology.
“Our intention is to have systems and products which produce parts which can be used and that you can really sell,” Marco told TCT. “We can print nearly every material available which is UV curable but we ask first the customer “what is your problem, what do you want to produce?” and we develop together.”
