The Zeepro Zim's stretch goal colours

Zeepro Zim's strange pledgers
A couple of refunds perhaps or are people just willing to throw away $100?
Last month we brought you news of the latest 3D printer attempting to carve out a slice of the consumer 3D printing market by being super easy to use and rather quite stylish.
The Zeepro Zim launched on Kickstarter on September 16 with the rather ambitious goal of $300,000 and with just one more week to go the machine broke that barrier and in doing so became the 6th most funded 3D printer in the crowd-funding's brief history.
"It's clear that both consumers and early adopters are becoming more interested in 3D printing," says Zeepro’s CEO, Philippe Guglielmetti, " Zim is widely seen as the first affordable consumer-oriented 3D printer to truly address their needs."
As customary with successful Kickstarter projects, Zeepro have announced some stretch goals; should the project get to $350,000 the machine will be offered in two more colours, silver and gold as well as the traditional pale grey. If they reach $400,000 they’ll add slate to that list. The choice of colours will be offered to all pledgers free of charge.
Strangely, at the time of writing, there are still three of the Early Zim special printers available; the early bird discount offers a $100 reduction on the $899 RRP of the dual-head version plus you get it a month earlier. This begs the question, who are the 33 people buying the $899 version over the $799 one? Probably an honest answer in there somewhere but still seems odd.
The interest in the Zim has not stopped at Kickstarter backers either, Zeepro have stated in a press release that resellers have signed letters of intent for over 2,000 printers.
