ZYYX 3D Printer and Shenzhen Esun establish strategic sale and R&D partnership

ZYYX 3D Printer and Shenzhen Esun Industrial Co., Ltd. are to enter a strategic sale and R&D partnership to deliver professional filaments and professional printers to the 3D printing market.

The companies made the announcement at last week’s formnext powered by TCT, which attracted more than 21,000 attendees. At the show, the ZYYX proGlass filament, a PA66 Nylon with 15% glass fibre content compatible with the ZYYX Pro 3D printer, was exhibited, the first result of the company’s partnership. It has been developed off the back of customer demand, since glass fibre filled nylon is an often-used engineering plastic for mass production with injection moulding.

“We have worked with Esun for some time developing new tailored materials for the ZYYX Pro, and we are honoured to be able to say that we now will work even closer to offer more materials, all with a clear application within professional printing,” said Mats Moosberg, CEO of Magicfirm Europe AB and founder of ZYYX 3D Printer. “The proGlass [gives customers] another strong material to choose from in tooling and jigs production. The market for desktop 3D printers is getting tougher and tougher, and it is crucial to have a clear ambition, and our ambition is to provide our customers a complete toolset for functional prototyping and production of jigs and fixtures. The materials are at the centre of such offering and we are very happy to say that we are now working closely with the leading supplier of 3D printing materials in the world.”

ZYYX and Esun have aligned to accelerate the industrial adoption of 3D printing, particularly outlining functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures as suitable applications. Their cooperation will also see Esun become the exclusive distributor of the ZYYX pro 3D printer in China.
