3Doodler - most popular 3D printing device.
When it was first released last year the 3Doodler pen will have appeared to some as a way for children to get involved with 3D printing. Whilst that is true, the tool has led to some amazing creations from artists using the pen to add 3D textures to their work and to an entire dress being printed with it.
As the world’s first 3D printing pen, the 3Doodler has just announced sales of over 100,000 and is now the world’s most popular 3D printing device. The company has achieved this in just under a year and is celebrating with the launch of a new set of accessories and materials.
The range will include a 3Doodler stand, foot pedal, nozzle set and also eight new plastics.
The DoodleStand will help makers create accurate and clean lines whilst the new nozzle set will provide six new printing shapes including ribbo, square and triangular. The foot pedal will allow users to control the stop and start of the plastic extrusion.
The new range of plastics - Radioactive Yellow, Cotton Candy Pink, Café au Lait, and two additions to the "Clearly" range, Clearly Yellow and Clearly Black - mean the tool now has one of the largest ranges of materials for any 3D printing store with a total of 46 colours in ABS and PLA.
"The simplicity of 3Doodler has sparked imaginations,” said Daniel Cowen, Co-Founder. “That more than a hundred thousand people are using our 3D pen worldwide marks a fantastic year for both 3Doodler and the 3D printing industry alike; and by giving people new accessories and plastics to use with the 3Doodler, we hope to continue sparking imaginations and encouraging people to doodle truly fantastic creations".
The new range will be launched at IFA 2014 in Berlin next week.
