Farsoon Modellbau Kurz
Farsoon has announced the commercial availability of its HT1001P Continuous Additive Manufacturing Solution (CAMS) system after a successful beta programme.
German service providers FKM Sintertechnik GmbH and Modellbau Kurz have been running the machine since the start of 2019 and have both now integrated the system into everyday production.
The HT1001P is a powder bed fusion-based machine with multi-laser scanning capabilities and closed-loop powder system. Designed to enable series additive production, it boasts a build cylinder of 1000 x 500 x 450 mm and a build chamber that can reach 220°C meaning high-performance materials like PA12 can be processed. The build cylinder is automatically passed through the loading station to the build zone and then into the cooling station along a conveyor belt. Powder cakes then go through the part breakout station where excess powder is removed before parts are transported to the finishing stations where they can be coloured, coated and polished.

Farsoon selected FKM and Modellbau Kurz as its beta partners because both service providers serve an array of companies in a variety of markets, while the former has been using Farsoon technology for several years and the latter has previously beta tested machines from Objet, Stratasys and HP. FKM is readying to welcome its fourth Farsoon system after completing the beta programme and has highlighted the HT1001P’s automation readiness as a particular plus point. Modellbau Kurz, meanwhile, has revealed the HT1001P was first deployed to produce customer parts in PA12 months ago. The company has also explored glass-bead reinforced grades and PA6, which it says require further development, and managed to print parts larger than 1m in length in a single piece by nesting the part diagonally in the powder bed.
With both service providers now running the machine to serve customers regularly, Farsoon has felt the time is right to offer the HT1001P to the rest of the market.

Farsoon is again looking for beta partners after launching its FS301M platform last month which is set to be showcased at Formnext in Hall 11.1 Stand C69 between November 19-22.
