Sintratec’s desktop SLS 3D printing systems will now be distributed to the Benelux region after the company partnered with Netherlands-based ColorFabb.
The Dutch firm is best known for its work in the development of plastic 3D printing materials, but this partnership sees it enter the SLS 3D printing space. It will add the Sintratec S1 and the Sintratec Kit to its portfolio and will sell the platforms to customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
The Sintratec S1 has been designed to meet the professional needs of industries like aerospace, automotive and healthcare. It has a print volume of 130x130x180mm and can achieve a layer height of 100 micrometres. Meanwhile, the Sintratec Kit is marketed as the ‘ideal first step into the world of additive manufacturing.’ It can print objects up to a size of 11x11x11cm and is suitable for the production of functional prototypes.
Thanks to this partnership, companies operating in the Benelux regions will now be able to purchase the machines through ColorFabb.
“We’ve been following the development of SLS desktop 3D printing with great interest and acquired our first Sintratec S1 at a tradeshow in 2015,” said Ruud Rouleaux, director at ColorFabb B.V. “We’ve experimented a lot with the Sintratec S1 and have given our engineers the time to truly understand and see the value of this technology. We’re now ready to share our insight and knowledge with our clients. We believe the Sintratec S1 is a unique offering which strengthens our portfolio of 3D printers and professional services.”
“The profound knowledge about the 3D printing industry, the closeness to their customers and especially the passion that ColorFabb brings into their daily business have fully convinced us,” said Dominik Solenicki, CEO at Sintratec AG. “ColorFabb has tested our machines since 2015 and their decision is a proof of trust for Sintratec. We are proud to have such a well-known market player on board now. As Sintratec goes more and more from local to global we are sure that with ColorFabb we have found the right partner for the Benelux region.”
