XJet Carmel 1400 AM system
XJet, a manufacturer of ceramics and metal additive manufacturing machines, has announced the launch of the Carmel AM System product line, which the company will showcase at formnext powered by TCT next month.
The Carmel 1400 and Carmel 700 AM systems make up the product line, supporting various ceramic and metal materials. Both printers are also powered by Xjet’s NanoParticle Jetting technology.
Set to present both systems at formnext, in Hall 3.1 Booth E20, XJet believes the Carmel series can transform the metal ceramic additive manufacturing industries. In a company press release, the systems’ ability to print separate nanoparticle ‘inks’ for the build material and support material is emphasised as an important feature. It is said to enable manufacturers to manufacture parts with the ease and versatility of inkjet printing.
“NanoParticle Jetting technology is a unique 3D inkjet technology that redefines additive manufacturing for metals and ceramics,” commented Hanan Gothait, CEO and Founder of XJet. “Other additive manufacturing technologies use powders, but we offer a real breakthrough by leveraging our know-how as pioneers of both inkjet printing and 3D printing industries. Our solution prints very fine layers of both build materials and a support material to enable the creation of complex geometries in a very simple and very safe process. While we are currently printing only one build material, we could theoretically print multiple build materials.”
Dror Danai, CBO at XJet added: “The XJet Carmel 1400 features a 1,400-square cm build tray, one of the industry’s largest, for high-capacity production and a unique ability to print both ceramics and metals. The XJet Carmel 1400 system has already been delivered to a customer site and further details will be provided during the formnext exhibition.”
Last year’s formnext powered by TCT was XJet’s first appearance at the event and also the first time the company had showcased its NanoParticle Jetting technology to the European market. This year, they will be introducing two new systems, as Danai formally presents the Carmel AM System product line at Hall 3.1 Booth E20 on Tuesday November 14th at 13.30.
