restor3d has launched a new patient engagement ecosystem designed to provide patients with greater visibility into their personalised orthopaedic journey.

MyFit by restor3d Digital Suite is said to create a 'seamless connection between patients, surgeons, and long-term clinical outcomes.'

The ecosystem utilises automated communications and an interactive patient portal to update patients throughout the creation of their implant, with an option to view a 3D model of their personalised design before surgery for select procedures. Patients awaiting hip and knee implants can receive SMS updates at key milestones throughout their implant journey, while shoulders, foot, and ankle patients can access implant status updates and an interactive 3D model of their personalised design.

restor3d says these capabilities have been designed to keep patients informed while reducing the administrative burden associated with routine implant status inquiries to their surgeon’s office.

“Personalisation has always been at the centre of what we do at restor3d, and MyFit by restor3d allows us to bring that same philosophy directly to the patient experience,” said Kurt Jacobus, Chief Executive Officer of restor3d. “Patients undergoing joint replacement are increasingly engaged in their care and want to better understand the technology and treatment designed specifically for them. MyFit by restor3d gives patients a unique connection to their personalised implant while allowing us to continue learning from their outcomes over time.”

MyFit by restor3d also provides patients with the opportunity to participate in the restor3d Patient-Specific Registry, a prospective, longitudinal registry designed to collect patient-reported outcomes from baseline through five years following surgery. The registry encompasses knee, hip, shoulder, and foot and ankle procedures and is designed to enrol approximately 2,250 patients.

Through direct-to-patient electronic patient-reported outcome collection, restor3d aims to build a growing body of real-world evidence around patient-specific, 3D-printed orthopaedic implants while minimising additional administrative requirements for participating practices. Participating surgeons can receive their patients’ reported outcomes, creating an additional connection between personalised technology and longitudinal patient experience.

MyFit by restor3d launched on September 8, 2026 and is available to all restor3d surgeons with a restor3d patient-specific case.
