Stratasys is planning to launch a new polymer additive manufacturing system at Formnext.
The 3D printing company says the machine - name and tech specs to be revealed in Frankfurt next month - is geared towards 'high-volume production of consistent, end-use polymer parts' and offers a 'scalable solution built for manufacturing environments.'
While Stratasys is keeping details of its latest piece of hardware under wraps until 1pm on November 17, the company has shared that its recently announced F870 FDM will make its European alongside applications, including large-format tooling, fixtures, jigs and manufacturing aids from Toyota and GM.

“Additive manufacturing is becoming an essential part of the modern factory floor, giving manufacturers greater flexibility, efficiency, resilience and control over how they produce,” said Dr. Yoav Zeif, CEO of Stratasys. “We see that shift accelerating across industries, from aerospace and defense to automotive and dental, as customers scale additive from individual applications into production workflows. At Formnext, we’re showing the technology, software and expertise that make that possible at scale.”
Other new products on display in Hall 12.1, D129 will include software and materials updates such as Somos ShellCast resin and GrabCAD Print Pro ShellGen module build preparation software, designed for use with the Neo800+ printer for the production of large, complex and antimony-free master patterns for investment casting. A new automated post-processing solution for the Origin P3 DLP platform called sCure, which combines drying, multi-wavelength UV curing, heating and photobleaching in one system, will also be shown.
There will be further materials updates across PolyJet and FDM, including PolyJet ToughONE Black for J3 and J5 3D printers for durable, engineering-grade performance with a realistic black finish, and a new FDM material, expanded capabilities for existing materials and a new post-processing that is said to expand what FDM can do in production. Stratasys will also highlight the recent publication of National Center for Advanced Materials Performance (NCAMP) qualification data for Antero 800NA and Antero 840CN03 on the Stratasys F900 printer.
Speakers from IPC, Toyota and LAIKA Studios will present throughout the week on the Industry & Application Stage about how they're each applying Stratasys technologies across mold insert design, automotive tooling, and stop motion animation.
