The closure of Würth's additive manufacturing business unit has been confirmed in a short statement posted on LinkedIn.
Mikhail Gladkikh, Director of Global Technology and Technical Projects at Würth Additive Group, had announced his departure from the business two weeks ago, citing the 'wind-down' of the additive division.
A 50-word statement shared on the Würth Additive Group LinkedIn page has now made the wind-down official.
Stakeholders with active accounts or outstanding arrangements have been told to contact the Company's Closing Office (co@wurthadditive.com).
Aside from confirming that the company is 'committed to an orderly closure of all operations,' Würth Additive Group has not provided any reason publicly for the closure of the additive manufacturing business.
TCT reached out to Würth for a statement earlier this month, but has not yet received a response.
Würth is a multinational conglomerate that started working in the additive manufacturing sector in 2017 and launched its Würth Additive Group business in 2021. Through the Würth Additive Group, the company was aiming to support customers with the implementation of digital inventory and inventory management solutions. The company was also distributing 3D printing hardware and materials products via a number of reseller partnerships.
As recently as the AMUG Conference 2026, Würth Additive Group had announced a partnership with B9Creations that would combine their respective digital inventory and QA/QC frameworks. Gladkikh had also given an interview to 3DPrint.com in May.
